A Note From the Developer

To my fellow lab rats,

A few years ago I was diagnosed with a serious health issue. Not going to get into the specifics — that’s my story to share when I’m ready — but I’ll tell you this: peptides changed the trajectory of my life. I’ve lost over 100 pounds, my inflammation is down, my energy is back, and the version of me in the mirror is unrecognizable from where I started. These compounds gave me a fighting chance when I felt like I’d run out of options.

I built Lab Rat Peptide Tracker because I needed it myself. A place to track my protocols, log my labs, understand exactly what I was injecting and why, and watch the data tell the story my body was already telling me.

๐Ÿ€ The Lab Rat Way

Let me be straight with you about something:

Lab Rat will never live in the App Store. Not because I can’t put it there — because I won’t. The corporate app stores would take a fat cut off the top, water down the content until it was useless, and reject the app multiple times for “promoting unauthorized substances” before letting a neutered version through. The big stores would slap warning labels on it and bury it in search. Screw that.

Lab Rat lives at labratpeptidetracker.com — on the open web, where it belongs. No App Store, no Play Store, no corporate overlords telling me which peptides I’m allowed to talk about. You add it to your home screen with two taps and it works exactly like a real app, minus all the surveillance.

That’s why this app has no ads, no tracking, no analytics, no accounts, no email signups, no “premium tier,” no upsells. Your data lives on your device and only your device. I genuinely don’t know who you are, what you’re stacking, or what your bloodwork says. I built it that way on purpose.

๐Ÿ’ช This Is Not For Profit — It’s For The Community

Look, I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t love to make some money on this someday. I work hard on it. But that’s not why I’m doing it.

I’m doing it because peptides saved my health, and I want other people to have the tools I wish I’d had when I started. If Lab Rat helps even one person get their inflammation down, dial in their protocol, or have a real conversation with their doctor backed by actual data — that’s the win. Money is nice. People getting healthier is better.

If Lab Rat helps you, the best thanks are:

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Join the Discord — share what’s working, ask questions, help other rats
  • โญ Tell another lab rat — word of mouth is how indie projects survive
  • โ˜• Buy me a coffee — if you can spare it, it keeps the lights on

๐Ÿค The promises

What I’ll never do:

I’ll never sell your data. I’ll never run ads. I’ll never charge for the core app. And I’ll never recommend where to source your peptides — that’s your business, not mine to monetize. That line is sacred.

What I might do, and what it’ll look like:

Someday you might see a partner mentioned somewhere in this app. If that happens, here’s the deal: it’ll be a company I personally use, whose products I’d recommend whether they paid me or not. It’ll be one partnership at a time, clearly marked, and totally optional. Your trust is the only currency I actually care about. The day Lab Rat starts feeling like a sales pitch is the day I’ve failed — hold me to that.

โš ๏ธ Please be safe out there

One lab rat to another: these compounds are powerful and not without real risk. Please consult with a qualified healthcare professional. Get your bloodwork done before, during, and after. Start at the lowest effective dose and go slow. Never inject without sterile technique. Read the Inject tab. Read the warnings. Be a careful lab rat — not a casualty.

Lab Rat is a research tracking tool. Not medical advice. Not a substitute for a doctor. Use it to stay organized. Make your journey a safe one.

To your health, and to your gains,

Travis — Lab Rat #1 ๐Ÿ€

๐Ÿงซ How to Reconstitute Peptides
1
Let vial reach room temp
Take the peptide vial out of the fridge and let it sit for 15 minutes. Cold + water = thermal shock.
2
Sanitize everything
Wipe both vial stoppers with 70% isopropyl alcohol swabs. Let air dry 10โ€“15 seconds before inserting any needle.
3
Draw BAC water
Use the calculator below to determine how much bacteriostatic water to draw. Pull air into syringe first to equalize pressure.
4
Inject along the glass wall
Angle needle so water trickles slowly down the side โ€” never squirt directly onto the powder. Slow and steady.
5
Swirl โ€” never shake
Gently swirl the vial until the powder fully dissolves. Shaking destroys the peptide chain. Solution should be clear.
6
Refrigerate immediately
Store at 2โ€“8ยฐC. Good for 28โ€“30 days. Never freeze a reconstituted peptide โ€” ice crystals break the structure.

๐Ÿ“ Units Guide โ€” mL ยท mg ยท mcg ยท IU ยท units โ–ธ
Unit confusion is the #1 cause of dosing mistakes. This guide explains every unit you'll see in Lab Rat.
๐Ÿ’งmL (milliliter)
What it is: Volume of liquid. The amount of water + peptide in your syringe.
Examples: 1 mL โ‰ˆ 1 cc โ‰ˆ 20 drops ยท A teaspoon = 5 mL
You see it on: Syringe barrel markings, vial liquid amounts, "bacteriostatic water"
โš–๏ธmg (milligram)
What it is: Weight of the actual compound (the dry powder).
Examples: 1 mg = 1,000 mcg ยท 0.5 mg = 500 mcg ยท 5mg vial = 5,000 mcg total
You see it on: Vial labels (e.g. "BPC-157 5mg"), TRT doses, GLP-1 weight loss meds, supplements
๐Ÿ”ฌmcg (microgram, also written ฮผg)
What it is: A smaller weight unit. 1,000 mcg = 1 mg.
Examples: 250 mcg = 0.25 mg ยท 500 mcg = 0.5 mg ยท 100 mcg = 0.1 mg
You see it on: Most peptide doses (BPC-157, CJC-1295, Ipamorelin, Tesamorelin, etc.), thyroid meds (T3/T4)
๐Ÿ’‰IU (International Unit)
What it is: A measure of biological activity โ€” NOT weight. Conversion to mg varies by compound.
Common conversions:
  โ€ข HCG: 1 mg โ‰ˆ 5,000 IU
  โ€ข HGH: 1 mg โ‰ˆ 3 IU
  โ€ข Insulin: 1 IU โ‰ˆ 0.0347 mg
  โ€ข Vitamin D: 1 mcg = 40 IU
You see it on: HCG, HMG, HGH/somatropin, insulin, certain vitamins
๐ŸชกSyringe Units (insulin syringe scale)
What it is: A scale on insulin syringes. NOT a weight measurement. Just shows how much liquid you drew.
U-100 syringe (most common):
  โ€ข 100 units = 1 mL (full syringe)
  โ€ข 50 units = 0.5 mL (half full)
  โ€ข 30 units = 0.3 mL
  โ€ข 10 units = 0.1 mL
The math: 1 unit on a U-100 syringe = 0.01 mL of liquid.
๐ŸŽฏ Quick Conversions
Weight:
  1 mg = 1,000 mcg
  0.5 mg = 500 mcg
  0.25 mg = 250 mcg
  0.1 mg = 100 mcg

U-100 syringe โ†” mL:
  100 units = 1.00 mL
  50 units = 0.50 mL
  30 units = 0.30 mL
  10 units = 0.10 mL

Visual examples:
  5 mg vial + 2 mL water = 2.5 mg/mL
  Draw 0.1 mL = 250 mcg dose
  Draw 10 units (U-100) = 250 mcg dose
โš ๏ธ Common Mistakes
โ€ข Confusing mg with mcg โ€” that's a 1,000ร— error
โ€ข Confusing mL with units โ€” different scales!
โ€ข Trusting old vial labels marked "IU" without checking the conversion for that specific compound
โ€ข Forgetting that U-100 โ‰  U-50 โ‰  U-30 (different scales on different syringes)
โ€ข Drawing the right volume but on the wrong syringe size
When in doubt, double-check with a healthcare provider.
